Your Pets Surgery

We offer as wide an array of surgical services from our clinic as possible. It is important for you and your pet to receive the best care in a friendly and welcoming facility in order to reduce stress and promote healing. We perform dental cleanings/extractions, spay/neuter, and hernia repair surgeries here at Ranchlands Veterinary Clinic for the maximum comfort and safety of your pet.

Anesthetic protocol is decided by our veterinarian at the time of surgery based on your pet's individual needs. Prior to surgery, your pet is examined and a pre-surgical blood screen is performed if authorized. The results of these tests, your pet's past anesthetic history, breed, pre-existing conditions, and age are used to create an individualized protocol for your pet.

While under anesthetic your pet is cared for by a well-trained and experienced licensed veterinary technician using our monitoring system which tracks heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, body temperature, and oxygen levels.

Pain Management

We all know pain hurts, but pain also has many other detrimental effects on the body. It impedes healing, decreases activity, causes behavior changes (aggression, anxiety, and depression).

As your pet is being discharged, we provide you with information on how to care for your pet at home after surgery. We are happy to answer any questions or concerns that may come up once you get your pet home.
